Event Description:
SATURDAY, MAY 4 | 10 AM – 4 PM In the not too distant future, the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History (which is not far, far away) will be hosting an out of this world Star Wars celebration. Come explore the stars, find out what it would be like to live on an alien world, create experiments that test the force, make your own mini light saber, imagine you’re a Jedi, meet characters from the films and so much more! ACTIVITIES Here are just a few of the experiences planned for our Jedi’s in training: Dance along with your favorite Tatooine sensation, the Cantina Band, from 12 -2 PM. Stop by the Maker Studio to create your own mini-light saber. Learn the latest in planetary science during short chats throughout the day. Didn’t bring a costume? No problem! We’ll help you make your own Yoda ears and character masks. Explore the force while learning about static electricity. Is the real universe expanding? Explore models that may help answer that question. Characters from the films will rove throughout the Museum during the event, so grab them for a great photo op! CHATS Delve deeper in the science of space with these fascinating chats! Help us celebrate this special day—you’re our only hope! And May the Fourth Be With You!
