Event Description:
Space Day is dedicated to the extraordinary achievements, benefits and opportunities in the exploration and study of the science of space. Activities: Filtered Light: Discover how colored filters can help reveal more detailed information about an image. Expanding Universe: Work together to make predictions, and use a model to demonstrate how the universe is expanding. Space Guess Quest: Play a fun card game to sort and classify objects in the universe. Stomp Rockets: Build and launch your own air rockets to imagine the challenges and triumphs of engineering and launching spacecraft into a specific region of space above our planet. Static Electricity: Make your own electroscope to detect static electricity. Explore the Stars: Visit the Noble Planetarium to learn about objects that adorn our night skies. Rocket Revelry: Engage with students from the BCTAL Rocket Engineering Class, and discuss their findings from experimental rocket simulations. All activities are included with paid Museum exhibit admission. Exhibit admission is not available to purchase online. Purchase exhibit admission at the box office upon your arrival on May 3.
