Why Join Us?
The Living Laboratory: We’re developing an innovative urban farm, community resilience hub, and outdoor recreation space in the Woodhaven neighborhood of east Fort Worth to combat food insecurity and promote regenerative agricultural practices.
ILTexas Science & Gardening Club: In partnership with International Leadership of Texas – Woodhaven PK-8, we bring hands-on science and gardening education to middle schoolers, reinforcing classroom learning through interactive STEAM activities.
Who We’re Looking For:
Financial Oversight & Governance: Help ensure strong fiscal management, budgeting, and compliance.
Strategic Growth & Capacity Building: Experience with nonprofit expansion or start-up development.
Fundraising & Resource Development: Board members are expected to “give or get” financial contributions to sustain our programs.
Leadership & Collaboration: Work alongside a hands-on board to build long-term sustainability.
Commitment & Expectations:
- Board and committee meetings occur monthly to maintain momentum.
- Active participation in financial strategy, governance, and fundraising.
- Support in shaping infrastructure and securing resources—while the CEO is a full-time staff member, we currently have no additional staff, meaning board members will play a key role in foundational work until staff are in place.
- Advocate for Econautics and help expand our network.
Econautics is growing fast, and our board is leading the charge in building a financially sustainable and mission-driven future. If you have finance expertise, governance experience, and a passion for sustainable agriculture, we’d love to welcome you to our leadership team!
