FWHCC Statement Regarding Recent Immigration Enforcement Operations

FORT WORTH, TX – (January 31) – At the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (FWHCC), we acknowledge the complexities surrounding immigration enforcement and its impact on our communities. While we understand the need for laws governing immigration, we emphasize the importance of balancing security with compassion and community well-being.
 
We recognize that recent immigration enforcement actions have led to heightened anxiety, fear, and confusion within our immigrant communities, affecting daily lives and economic interactions.  For many business owners and workers, the dread of raids, deportation, and potential family separation has created an atmosphere of uncertainty. This environment erodes trust, disrupts transactions, and leads to community withdrawal, ultimately placing immense pressure on the local economy and undermining the vital contributions of these businesses.
 
The FWHCC is unwavering in its commitment to supporting families and businesses being impacted by the recent wave of executive orders relating to immigration and will continue to serve all our members—whether they are first-time entrepreneurs or seasoned corporate leaders. Our Chamber is inclusive and welcoming to everyone, regardless of ethnicity or language.
