FORT WORTH, TEXAS (March 21, 2024) – Goodwill North Central Texas announced today the promotions of Jeffrey Marchese to Vice President of Facilities Management & Asset Protection and Kim Perkins to Vice President of Human Resources. Additionally, Christy Allen, Courtney Caraway and Jennifer Moore have been appointed as Directors of Human Resources, Rehabilitation Services and Goodwill Staffing Services respectively.

A decorated Air Force veteran and safety expert with more than 12 years of experience in minimizing organizational risk, most recently as Goodwill North Central Texas’ Director of Safety & Asset Protection, Marchese is able to translate complex information into effective training programs. In this position, he is responsible for the protection and safety of the agency, its personnel and assets including merchandise loss prevention. Prior to relocating with his family to Texas, Marchese served as Safety & CARF Manager for Goodwill Industries of Southern Nevada, located in Las Vegas. Marchese was Security Engineer for the State of Nevada’s Army National Guard and holds certifications in the health & safety field including American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP), National Safety Council (NSC) and National Association of Safety Professionals (NASP). Marchese holds a Certificate of Safety and Health Official from Arizona State University and was awarded the USAFE 2W2 Technician/Supervisor/Manager of the Year by US Air Force Material Command in 2004 and 2006.

Perkins joined Goodwill North Central Texas in October 2018 as Manager of Human Resources and served most recently as Senior Director of Human Resources. She previously served as Assistant Vice President of Human Resources for National Community Renaissance in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. and as Human Resources Manager for California Scents in Irvine, Calif. prior to her move to north Texas. A native of Illinois, Perkins earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Northern Illinois University in 1994. She also holds a certificate in Human Resources from California State University – Fullerton and Professional in HR (PHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute. Perkins is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Fort Worth HR and an alumna of Leadership Fort Worth Class of 2022.

In their new roles, Marchese and Perkins will be responsible for spearheading vital functions within the nonprofit. Marchese will lead efforts to maintain a secure environment for employees, customers and assets. Meanwhile, Perkins will oversee all aspects of personnel management, including agency-wide strategic initiatives regarding compensation, recruitment, training, employee relations and compliance with labor laws.

Goodwill North Central Texas is also proud to announce the appointment of three new directors who will play pivotal roles in the organization’s continued success.

Christy Allen was named Director of Human Resources, most recently serving as the organization’s Human Resources Manager for Donated Goods & Retail. In her new role, she will direct administration and employee relations activities, oversee recruitment programs, including the Affirmative Action Plan and administer the Agency’s compensation plan. Allen joined Goodwill North Central Texas in 2019 as HR Generalist before being promoted to Manager in 2022. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2008 from the University of Texas at Arlington and in 2013, earned a Master’s in Education from the University of Phoenix.

Courtney Caraway was named Director of Rehabilitation Programs. Prior to her promotion she served as Manager of Vocational Rehabilitation and as a Job Placement Specialist for Goodwill’s Opportunity Accelerator program.  Caraway graduated from Hunter College in 2010 with a Master in Early Childhood Special Education and Teaching Certification in Early Childhood Special Education, as well as General Education. She received an Associate of Science from Paris Junior College in 2001 and Bachelor of Science degrees from Texas A&M University in Literature and Acting & Directing in 2004. She has received several certifications from UNT Wise including supported employment, job placement, job skills and work readiness training. Active in the community, Caraway serves as a board member for the IDD Council of Tarrant County and is a member of the IDD Transition Council and participates in a Co-Ed Softball League.

Jennifer Moore was named Director of Goodwill Staffing Services (GSS), a full-service, temporary employment service giving people with disabilities and barriers to employment a second chance through the power of work. In 2011, Moore started work at Goodwill North Central Texas as a Day Laborer, picking up highway litter and loading trucks on the dock. Soon, she was hired as a permanent employee on Goodwill’s Lawn and Maintenance Crew. In 2014, she joined GSS as a supervisor before being named manager in 2016. In her new position, she will direct and manage temporary job assignments including recruiting, interviewing and evaluating applicants. She is also responsible for new business opportunities and monitoring compliance with the State Set Aside program.
